About
Made for teachers,
given away rather than sold.
Why it exists
Teachers keep extraordinary records. Who's absent, who's struggling in math but flying in reading, which parent to call and which one not to, who can't sit next to whom, who goes home on the bus and who gets picked up by a grandmother on Thursdays. Almost none of it is written down in one place, because nothing was ever built to hold it in one place.
Class Phase is that place. It's built around the child instead of the task, so a teacher's whole picture of a student assembles itself as she goes — and it lives on her own computer, because records about children belong with the person who keeps them.
What it is, and what it isn't
Class Phase is an independent project — one person, no company behind it, no investors, no ed-tech-industry playbook. It isn't trying to become a platform. It doesn't want your data, because it never sees your data. It's small, careful, and built to be trusted by the person using it rather than to impress anyone else.
